Bethshan is registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales (CSSIW) and provides nursing care for the physically and mentally frail. The Home is situated in Newtown, a rural market town in the heart of beautiful Mid Wales. For many years elderly people in this part of the country were unable to benefit from the provisions of local nursing home services. Thankfully since May 2001 this situation no longer exists and we are thrilled to welcome local people into Bethshan.

At Bethshan we believe in the sanctity of human life and that those in need should be cared for by those more able. Bethshan is not an institution but a home, where the spirit of family exists and the residents and staff enjoy an atmosphere of peace, friendship and support. We want to see each resident live as full and active lifestyle as possible. Everyone is treated as an individual, and encouraged to exercise choice in all aspects of their care. We hope that residents will feel at home, and rules and regulations are kept to a minimum.
